Embodying Reiki: Grief, Intuition and Reclaiming Power

Years after our initial conversation, I reconnect with Tonya Parker, a contributor to “Reiki Heart and Soul,” to discuss how her relationship with Reiki shifted into something she embodies, crystallizing during her 2020 training with Frans Stiene. Her Reiki Miracle: Sobriety, Healing Chronic Pain, and Heavenly Helpers

Susan Stone is an Artist, Author, Reiki Master, Intuitive Healer/Counselor, Ordained Minister, and Initiated Shamanic Practitioner After a massive heat stroke in 2013, Susan had to give up her career as a professional gardener and reinvented herself as an entrepreneur.

Starting her first brick and mortar business in 2017 when she opened ZenDen…a metaphysical, crystal, sage, and gift store. After selling ZenDen at the end of 2022, Susan needed a quiet place to paint and to finish her next book. And true to her nature…within six months, The Arts was born! It celebrates all the arts - the creative, the music, the healing and the mystic arts.

Today I interview Susan Stone, a contributor to the book “Reiki Heart and Soul: Many Stories, One Bright Light,” about her path from decades of addiction and trauma to sobriety and healing through Reiki. Susan recounts a 1988 car accident that left her with compound-fractured ribs and years of untreated injury, leading to nine years on narcotics and worsening health, and describes how entering AA in 1997 and meeting her sponsor Holly led her to Reiki. After sessions with Reiki practitioner, Elaine Roy, Susan took a deep breath for the first time in nine years and found her ribs visibly back in place. She discusses later experiences including being struck by lightning in 2010, a quantum healing session that restored her vision, her work with “heavenly helpers” during sessions, and her community offerings through The Arts Port Royal, free Reiki clinics, animal Reiki, and Reiki training for children, along with her books “We Heard You” and “The Magical Nature of Humans.”

How You're Moving Into This New Season of Life!

Yolanda and Melinda reunite to celebrate the equinox and discuss seasonal shifts, especially the Sun moving into Aries, and what it means for energy practitioners. They reflect on transitioning from Pisces themes of dissolution, forgiveness, purification, and compassion - moving into Aries, cardinal fire, action, audacity, and self-directed initiative, while noting the need to balance water and fire. Energy of March 2026 | What's for You Is Intensifying

, ,

These energies of life are intensifying, personally and collectively, as I’m sure you’ve been witnessing. While the collective is obvious, and triggers a lot within, this is a reminder that it’s important to acknowledge that – what’s being triggered within. The internal eruption serves a purpose in our process of purification and renewal, exiting winter to welcome spring.
 

Based on astrology, combined with what I’ve noticed personally and through my work with others, what is FOR us is being amplified. This is why you can feel what may seem like a churning, a knowing that expresses more as feeling than words…this is a powerful time of reconstruction that we’re all experiencing now. The key will be in how we choose to navigate.
 

We’re currently in the expression of Pisces, integrating the lessons of Aquarius. We’re being asked to now dissolve, softening our grips on what could be (in our thoughts) and merging with what IS, which can only be understood through feeling.

Why?

It’s all frequency, and the matter at hand is the frequency in which you’re cultivating to function from in expression. It’s all energy that becomes translated into thought, that becomes the basis of what we create and experience in form. However, there’s an opportunity to dissolve separation between light and shadow, realizing what is true…and for you now, embodying what’s revealing in higher ways before the audacity of Aries kicks in.

Past Life Regression | Releasing "Forever Feelings"

Today we have a conversation with Jonathan Robinson, a certified hypnotherapist and instructor, as well as a Reiki practitioner. He specializes in past life regression hypnotherapy and spiritual hypnotherapy because he’s seen how powerful it is when people finally access the deeper layers of the subconscious mind. In our conversation, Jonathan explains hypnosis as a guided meditation that brings the brain into a relaxed theta state, allowing the subconscious to accept positive suggestions and create change. He also shares how reading authors like Michael Newton and Dolores Cannon led him into regression work and emphasizes that clients don’t need to “believe” in reincarnation for sessions to be useful. In fact, some experience past lives as metaphors, others as verifiable events, but the main goal is healing and empowerment.

Jonathan describes common reasons people seek sessions, including “forever feelings,” unexplained fears and phobias, shame, relationship patterns, and even birthmarks, and gives examples of clients linking present-day issues to past-life experiences (fear of drowning, fear of strangers, difficulty with love, and compulsive overeating tied to a vow to never be beautiful). He also talks about spiritual themes, such as healers being punished in prior lifetimes, clearing the throat chakra, soul evolution through challenges, repeating “tests” until lessons are learned, and how regression can illuminate relationship dynamics and “soul contracts.”

Arjava’s books have been translated into twenty-two languages. He has taught Reiki to thousands of students in Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Besides Reiki, he also practices and teaches meditation, as well as the therapeutic practice of Family Constellations. Arjava lives in Eressos, Lesvos Island, with his wife, Bhakti Georgia Mouriki, and two children. He and his wife run a retreat center and an organic olive farm.

Where You're Going in 2026: Your Path of Energetic Alchemy

I want to have a conversation with you about you. There is a lot that comes up as we are ending a year, ending a cycle. And whether you are someone who likes resolutions or not, there’s an almost automatic, or collective kind of resonance with the acknowledgement that we’re in a time of transition.

There’s a lot that comes up in terms of reflection around where we are and where we're going. I’ve had several conversations about this in the last few weeks, and I’ve been very reflective about this within my own life. But then I thought about you, I thought about the podcast, and I want to have a conversation about this because when we get overwhelmed with thoughts of how and when life will unfold as we wish, this time can become kind of confusing and frustrating.

We have this unconscious way of dealing with what we want to experience or express, and if we don't know how, it can cause some undercurrents of fear or worry. It can cause some undercurrents of judging or criticizing ourselves for not being where we wanted to be or where we thought we should be. It’s okay…we’re going to explore this now and talk about how to get you in right alignment for you!

Exploring African Spiritual Traditions and Reiki, with Efunlayo

Today’s interview is special and kind of personal to me, in that I finally get to speak to someone who understands experiences I’ve had since I was fifteen-years old: sleep paralysis. If you’ve been listening to the podcast for some time, you may have heard me mention how I used to experience sleep paralysis in a very extreme way. At this point in my life, it still happens, but only a handful of times a year, versus nightly. I've heard of other people having experiences similar to mine, but no one I've ever had a conversation with, until today!

One of my Reiki teachers, Frans Stiene, is the author of a book that completely illuminated my practice and understanding of Reiki. The book, The Inner Heart of Reiki: Rediscovering Your True Self, was originally published in 2015, and I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Frans about it in 2018.

Today, seven years later, I had the opportunity to sit with Frans again, exploring the brilliance of this book, but this time as his student. I’m honored to celebrate the republishing of The Inner Heart of Reiki: Rediscovering Your True Self, sitting with Frans to laugh and enjoy another conversation about Reiki, while sharing with all of you.

International House of Reiki teacher, Frans Stiene, is a renowned Reiki researcher and teacher living in Haarlem, Netherlands, while traveling the world to teach the system of Reiki. In addition to The Inner Heart of Reiki: Rediscovering Your True Self, Frans also authored Reiki Insights, and The Way of Reiki: The Inner Teachings of Mikao Usui. He co-wrote The Reiki Sourcebook, Your Reiki Treatment, The Japanese Art of Reiki, and A-Z of Reiki.
