June 11, 2025 – Full Moon in Sagittarius: I always think of the energy of Sagittarius as an invitation to aim higher, to expand consciousness through direct experiences, and to have fun in the exploration of it all.

Reiki Foundations and the Great Mysteries

This is the last hour of our series with Arjava Petter, international Reiki Teacher and Author. In this conversation, Arjava shares how the foundational teachings leverage us into the greater mysteries. We also discuss the fear of losing self-identity, even though this work is about discovering true nature. After the publication of his first book, in 1997, Arjava began to travel extensively, all over the world, teaching Reiki.

Storytelling to Understand the Reiki Journey

Today is part two of our series with Arjava Petter, international Reiki Teacher and Author. In this conversation, Arjava shares his relationship to storytelling and how it helps him to understand the journey. He was even encouraged by an astrologer to return to his passion of writing, after he had given it up. Ultimately, the controversy around his first book, Reiki Fire, ended up being a catalyst for Arjava to begin teaching globally.

 I’m excited to share a week with one of my teachers, Arjava Petter. The Reiki Brigade

Today’s episode is inspiring, and I have been looking forward to having this guest come share her work and story for a while. It’s incredible and so important in showing how impactful Reiki can be in various arenas. We are going to learn through the path and efforts of Heather McCutcheon, founder of The Reiki Brigade.

Heather and a team of Reiki Practitioners support non-violence efforts by collaborating with other service organizations, and groups of individuals who experience high levels of stress throughout Chicagoland. Since 2011 they have offered more than 7,000, ten-minute Reiki sessions to Chicago police officers and fire fighters, homeless veterans, medical students and faculty, incarcerated individuals, violence interrupters, at-risk youth, etc. And yes, you’ll hear how these short sessions make a world of difference!
